Turret Punch Press
ATAS International, Inc. has added a Finn-Power E5 Compact Express Servo Electric Turret Punch Press to its headquarters facility. The machine is designed for punching, notching, nibbling, forming and bending. It accommodates 48- by 96-inch sheets and can nibble complex shapes at a speed of 800 hits per minute. A punch force up to 33 tons is available for demanding jobs. The automatic loading and unloading capability means that the turret press can be operated in “lights-out” mode with no operator being present. Other features include accuracy, repeatability and low-maintenance costs. The turret is configured to hold 38 of the most common tools used by ATAS, and the quick change feature makes it easy to substitute special tools when required.
InSpire Solar Air Heating
The InSpire wall solar air heating system is used to pre-heat outside air before it enters the building to provide fresh-air changes and natural humidification, as well as opportunities to reduce energy consumption. The panel is mounted at a specified distance of several inches from the outer wall of the building. InSpire features proprietary engineered perforations which allow outside air to be transpired (drawn through the panel) into the wall cavity via ventilation fans. InSpire panels are coated with a fluoropolymer (PVDF) coating system in colors which allow absorption of the sun’s energy to pre-heat surface and cavity air. The solar generated heat transpires into the wall cavity and is drawn into the building’s interior through conventional ductwork.
