Four Sales Team Positions Announced by ATAS

October 2, 2023

ATAS International announces four new sales team positions, including two District Sales Managers, an Architectural Business Development Manager, and a National Accounts Technical Advisor.  This realignment of the sales team will provide for additional education and communication with the company’s employees and customers.

The new Mid-Atlantic District Sales Manager for ATAS is Patrick Starr, CSI.  He has almost 30 years of experience in the industry, selling ATAS products throughout that time.  He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and first joined the ATAS family in 1994.  Starr worked with ATAS through 1998, until he went to work for one of ATAS’ distributors.  He returned to ATAS in 2014, taking on the Product Representative position in the Pittsburgh area to cover western Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio, and in 2017 was promoted to the position of Midwest District Sales Manager.  In his new position as Mid-Atlantic District Sales Manager, he’ll be moving back to the Greater Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania area, where he began with ATAS, to better manage the new Mid-Atlantic district.  Starr is certified in metal roof installation by the Metal Construction Association (MCA).

Dave Willard, CSI, CDT®, is ATAS’ new Midwest District Sales Manager.  He started working with ATAS in 2017, in the position of Product Representative for upstate New York and was previously a sales manager for a foundation support construction company.  Willard has nine years of industry experience.  He has an associate degree from Erie Community College and is a member of the Buffalo-Western New York Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). He earned the CSI Construction Documents Technologist (CDT®) certification in 2019 and is certified in metal roof installation by the Metal Construction Association (MCA).  Willard received ATAS’ Malan S. Parker Award for Salesman of the Year in 2020, due to his outstanding sales performance and the growth of his territory in upstate New York.

ATAS’ new Architectural Business Development Manager is Jason Richter, Associate AIA, CSI.  His responsibilities include overall architectural business development and national accounts management across the country.  Richter is well-suited for this position, as he has a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Cincinnati, and a Diploma 1 in architecture from the University of Portsmouth, England.  He is certified in metal roof installation by the Metal Construction Association (MCA).  Richter spent five years working as a Project Architect or Associate in architectural firms before joining an Ohio manufacturer where he spent 14 years as Architectural Sales and Product Manager.  He then joined ATAS in 2020 as the Product Representative for Ohio, and portions of Indiana and Kentucky.

David Jarrett, CSI, CDT®, LEED Green Associate, has been named National Account Technical Advisor for ATAS.  He will assist in growing national accounts throughout the country, as well as enhancing relationships with those accounts.  Jarrett will also be assisting ATAS’ Mesa, Arizona facility in the technical department.  He worked for ATAS for eight years previously, in sales, estimating, and production positions.  In 2016, he returned to ATAS as the Product Representative for Arizona and southern Nevada, before moving to Tennessee as the Product Representative for that territory, which also includes southern Kentucky.  Jarrett has an associate degree in architecture from Lincoln Technical Institute and he is certified in metal roof installation by the Metal Construction Association (MCA).  He also earned the CSI Construction Documents Technologist (CDT®) certification in 2018, and the LEED Green Associate certification in 2019.

National Sales Manager, Mark Bus, stated, “These additions allow us to continue our strategic growth within the industry and better serve our growing customer base. We have seen tremendous growth over the years, which has created additional career opportunities for many of our existing employees, as well as new employees.  I’m pleased that we have so many well-qualified individuals on our sales team and that we were able to assign them new roles to further their own development and assist in the future expansion of ATAS.  They will continue to provide education and training to both our internal and external customers, expanding their knowledge base and creating pathways for the open exchange of ideas to improve or develop new products and services.  We would not be where we are today without so many of our employees like Pat Starr, Dave Willard, Jason Richter, and David Jarret, and I congratulate them in their new positions.”
