ATAS International, Inc. now offers three continuing education courses online. All three are approved for health, safety, and welfare learning units by the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System (AIA CES).
The three online courses are:
- Demystifying Rainscreen Systems Utilizing Metal Wall Panels
- Designing for the Effects of Wind on Metal Roofs: Tests and Reality
- Sustainable Building Envelopes
The course on Sustainable Building Envelopes is also approved by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
All three of these courses, in addition to five others, are available as in-person live learning sessions. As a registered AIA CES Passport Provider of education for many years, ATAS can also offer continuing education credit for two live plant tours: a facility which manufactures building envelope components from metal, and a metal coil coating facility.
A leading manufacturer of sustainable building envelope products, ATAS is ISO certified. Outside audits and certification of their quality management system help to ensure that products are manufactured to quality standards.
A portion of the company’s quality policy is focused on education; not only for their own employees, but also for the industry in general. Helping to educate architects, specifiers, engineers, contractors, distributors, facility managers, and building owners will increase awareness of potential product application and performance, resulting in a higher quality building.
Lee Ann M. Slattery, Sales Support Manager, stated, “ATAS is pleased that we are able to offer continuing education in a variety of ways. We understand that online learning opportunities are desirable, and we are now able to meet those needs. ATAS will continue to offer all eight of our courses in-person for those located across the country who are seeking to bring education into their firms.”
