striations-metal-roofing-th.jpgATAS International, Inc. has added the capability of producing standing seam roof panels with a striated surface.  Striations are a pattern of linear grooves on the flat surface of the panel running parallel to the standing seam.  These grooves provide a new aesthetic option and also serve to break the flat surface of the panel and to help reduce the perception of waviness on the panel commonly referred to as “oil canning”.

Striations are currently available on the 2 3/8” Field-Lok and Dutch Seam profiles.  All currently available widths and material options for these panels can be manufactured with striations.  Striated panels can also be embossed, providing another visual appearance possibility and further reducing surface waviness.
