ASV Spacer Shim

above-sheathing-ventilation-th.jpgATAS International offers a new, patent pending,  ASV Spacer Shim.  ASV is Above-Sheathing Ventilation which is achieved by having continuous air flow between the roof sheathing and the metal panel system.  ASV creates energy savings by reducing air-conditioning costs in the summer and adding insulation value during the winter as proven by testing performance sponsored by MCA at Oakridge National Lab. ASV also minimizes the effect of condensation between the roof layers.

The spacer shim is a high temperature component produced in an injection mold.  It has an overall 3/8” depth and is made to stack to give an even greater amount of air flow.  Two shims stacked will achieve a 3/4” air space which is optimal for proper above-sheathing ventilation.

The shim is universal so it can be used in conjunction with all of ATAS’ standard roofing panel clips as well as integrating with all wall panels.
