ATAS Shines at METALCON in Denver

Allentown, Pa.: October 8th, 2014 – ATAS International, Inc. excelled at METALCON this year conducting their successful Learning Zones, which featured "bite size" instruction for show attendees that took place right on the exhibit floor.

A new series of educational Learning Zones were featured at this year's METALCON in Denver, Colorado. The 15 minute sessions gave attendees the opportunity to learn more about specific techniques, products or services, obtain direction to technical challenges they are facing on the job, or simply make new discoveries in the metal construction industry.  Two of the Learning Zone sessions given by Dave Smith, Technical Services Manager for ATAS, were called "The Flashing Finesse — Dormer to Metal Roof Intersection and Square Penetrations.”

In the Dormer to Metal Roof Intersection Learning Zone, attendees learned how to properly flash the various intersecting planes of a dormer in the main field of a roof with a standing seam metal roof panel. The Square Penetrations Learning Zone demonstrated how to properly flash square penetrations such as skylights, chimneys or other large penetrations with a vertical seam metal roof system.
